Why Amna backs More United:

"People need to feel their voice counts and that our national political debate represents them. Shouty divisive politics puts voters off and it puts normal people off from standing up for their community. Tribalism has stood in the way of progress and this is the time to change that. As the extremes seem more extreme around the world, I’m proud to stand together with More United members and the people of Sutton & Cheam to promote tolerance, build a fairer economy and a better Britain.”

About Amna Ahmad

Amna is standing for the Liberal Democrats in Sutton and Cheam. She is campaigning to support the small businesses that are so important to the local economy, in particular those whose business is at risk due to Brexit.

Amna was born in Pakistan and moved to South London at a young age. She is bilingual and values the diversity of experience and cultures that our communities bring to London and to our country.

Her opponent, Paul Cully MP, was a supporter of the Leave campaign and has voted against making the House of Lords elected.

Amna goes into this race only 3,921 votes behind - a great opportunity for a great candidate.
