Why Jane backs More United:
"Our work in our societies is about bringing people together, and not about pushing us apart. The more we build relationships within our communities, the more we realise that we all want the same things, and that we can bring different things to the table. More United reflects those values in words and action, and I am delighted to have the chance to work with them. Whatever role we play in our communities, we all need to work together for the good of each other. In Welsh: 'Gweithio gyda'n gilydd er budd bob un ohonom'"
About Jane Dodds
Born and raised in North Wales, Jane’s a Welsh speaker who’s spent 20 years working in child protection, including heading up the Children’s Section at the Refugee Council. Her work as a local councillor and campaigner has included efforts to improve local recycling centres and boost local high streets by introducing more free parking. She has shown she’s committed to identifying and communicating the needs of local people and she strongly believes parliament needs to become more representative of voters’ needs.
Jane’s main opponent, who is 5,000 votes ahead of her, voted to Leave the EU and against legislation for same sex marriage.
