Alison has been MP for Wirral South since 2010. During that time, she has worked to boost economic growth within her constituency through free parking schemes and the regeneration of shopping areas. She's also been a lead critic of zero hour contracts.
How More United supports Alison
With large manufacturing employers like Unilever and Airbus based inside her constituency, Alison has worked alongside businesses and trade unions to support the development of apprenticeship schemes.
Alison is at the forefront of the campaign to keep the UK inside the single market, arguing that this is the only way to protect jobs. She has repeatedly called on her own party to adopt this as their official line.
She supported More United’s campaign on the impact of Brexit on the NHS by adding her name to cross-party calls for a debate.
