Andy has worked closely with More United. He added his name to cross-party calls for a debate on the impact of Brexit on the NHS, and made a vital contribution to the debate citing the departure of EU health workers from his local constituency. Following from this, he ran a cross-party campaign exposing the Government's failure to advise NHS Trusts up and down the country on how to prepare for a no-deal Brexit. Andy also co-led More United’s Legal Aid campaign alongside Alistair Carmichael MP (Liberal Democrat) and secured a vital debate on the importance of restoring early access to legal aid. More United supporters backed him during the 2017 election.
How More United supports Andy
Andy has a track record of standing up for LGBT+ rights and for measures to tackle climate change. Locally he is campaigning against the third runway at Heathrow. Andy is strongly opposed to a hard, destructive Brexit and was fired from Labour's front bench for rebelling against the party to vote for keeping the UK within the single market.
