Peter Aldous MP

MP for Waveney

Peter joined Darren Jones (Labour) and Stephen Lloyd (Independent) to lead More United’s tipping campaign, calling for changes to policy after it came to light that restaurants are still taking 10% of their employees’ hard-earned tips.

As an MP, Peter’s work has focused on energy policy, and support for small businesses, housing and local infrastructure projects. He has also brought forward reforms to the park homes sector through the Mobile Homes Act to help protect often vulnerable and elderly residents, and threw his support behind the #MakeCareFair campaign for good quality social care and an end to rushed 15 minute personal care visits. Peter has taken part in various cross-party initiatives, for example, signing a letter written by Richard Graham MP (Conservative) and Nic Dakin MP (Labour) along with 165 other MPs from 3 parties; chairing the cross-party Oil and Gas Group; acting as vice-chair of the APPG on Nuclear Energy; and being one of a number of cross-party MPs backing the Mirror's call for action on Britain's homelessness.
