Tulip Siddiq MP

MP for Hampstead and Kilburn

The values that More United holds are very important to me. It is clear our politics is getting more divided and it’s important for those of us who agree with these values to stand up for what we believe in.

Tulip Siddiq is the Labour MP for Hampstead & Kilburn and was backed by More United in the last election. With a background in the charity sector working for Amnesty International and Save The Children, Tulip has continued fighting against injustice and inequality in Parliament.

She is vice-chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group against Antisemitism and a member of the Women and Equalities Select Committee. She also has a track record of standing up for the needs of disabled people, campaigning against cuts to social care and for improved accessibility at tube stations.

Tulip has proved herself to be a principled MP who will represent the views of her constituents, resigning from Labour's front bench following the decision to whip the vote to trigger Article 50.

She participated in More United’s campaign to protect the NHS from Brexit by signing the backbench debate request. She has co-led More United’s immigration campaign, alongside Nicky Morgan MP (Conservative) and Christine Jardine MP (Liberal Democrat). As part of this, she backed our survey to find out countrywide views on immigration and wrote to the Chancellor to ask him to restore the budget for the Migrant Impact Fund in the 2018 Autumn Budget, encouraging other MPs to do the same.
