Vince Cable MP

MP for Twickenham

Throughout my political career I have always valued the opportunity to work collaboratively with people from across the political spectrum. Only by working together can we effect the real change which will build a positive legacy for future generations; organisations such as More United with their open and collaborative ethos are absolutely crucial to achieving that goal.

Vince led More United’s campaign on CO2, in which he wrote a letter to the Secretary of State for Business calling for information on the CO2 gas shortage which affected the livelihoods of some small businesses. He also added his name to calls for a debate on the impact of Brexit on the NHS. Vince was backed by More United supporters during the 2017 General Election.

More about Vince: Previously the Secretary of State for Business Innovation and Skills and President of the Board of Trade, Vince is currently the leader of the Liberal Democrat party. He has said that “the worst thing about this whole Brexit episode is that the country has been put on hold” and that “we've got to get on with some of these big probelems that have just been festering for the last two years”. Another focus area for Vince is housing policy -- in particular providing more council housing and more affordable homes for first-time buyers and key workers.
